A RUSSIAN GARDNER PORCELAIN SIXTEEN-PIECE TEA SERVICE SET, MOSCOW (VERBILKI), LATE 19TH CENTURY - A porcelain tea service comprising a teapot with cover, sugar bowl with cover, creamer, four teacups with six saucers, and four bowls. Each piece is decorated on a cobalt-blue ground with reserve panels of hand-painted floral bouquets, accented with gilt rims. Marked on the underside with red overglaze Gardner factory marks with the Imperial double-headed eagle and ”Фабрика Гарднера в Москве”. Dimensions: Teapot H: 4 5/8 in., (11.7 cm.) Conditions: Very good, with light wear to gilding, a few small scratches, and some sticker residue on a couple pieces which could be cleaned. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
