A LARGE JAPANESE IMARI PORCELAIN DISH, 19TH CENTURY - A large Japanese Imari porcelain plate decorated in the traditional polychrome manner with a scene of two cranes looking out over a landscape, with two dragons toward the margins, one dragon with a circular aura and the other with a geometric one. The rim of the plate is decorated with intricate patterns in blue, red, and black, interspersed with gilt detailing. The underside of the rim is decorated with floral patterns in blue and white. Japan, 19th century. Dimensions: D: 24 1/4 in., (61.5 cm.) Conditions: Excellent, with only a few minor spots of wear in places as expected for age. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
