A JAPANESE SATSUMA PORCELAIN VASE WITH SCENES OF LIFE, 19TH CEN. - A Japanese Satsuma pottery vase with beautifully painted and gilt scenes of life, including a group of women lounging outdoors, and a group of men performing a religious ceremony. Every part of the borders of this vase are intricately patterned with gilt geometric and naturalistic forms. The underside marked with a signature in kanji and the Satsuma symbol. Japan, Late Meiji Era, 19th century. Dimensions: H: 8 1/2 in., (21.5 cm.) Conditions: Gilding is slightly worn. No chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
