A PAIR OF ENGLISH PORCELAIN DUCK FIGURE LAMPS, EARLY 20TH CENTURY - A decorative pair of porcelain swan-form boudoir lamps mounted on gilt-metal Rococo-style bases. Each lamp is modeled as a white swan amidst applied porcelain flowers and foliage, with two candle-form light sockets rising from scrolling gilt-metal branches. The swans are rendered with finely painted eyes and orange beaks and feet, standing upon stylized porcelain waves. The elaborate openwork gilt-metal mounts display Art Nouveau and Rococo influences. The underside bears impressed model numbers ”A8” and ”A9” on the metal bases, along with old inventory labels. Dimensions: H: 13 3/4 in., (35 cm.) Conditions: Good overall, with light wear consistent with age and use. Lamps are mounted and have not been tested for working order. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
