A PAIR OF AMERICAN FIREPLACE TOOLS, ASH SHOVEL AND POKER, 19TH CENTURY - A pair of mid to late 19th century American fireplace tools, an ash shovel and a poker, with round porcelain handles decorated with a cobalt blue glaze and gilt foliate patterning. The ash shovel has pierced decoration at its center in a shape reminiscent of a lyre. America, 19th century. Dimensions: L: 30 3/4 in., (78 cm.)
