ALEXANDER RITTER VON BENSA (1820-1902), ROYAL CARRIAGE PROCESSION - Oil on panel. Signed lower left. Depicting an elegant royal carriage drawn by a team of white horses and escorted by mounted guards in ceremonial uniform. The procession advances through a park-like landscape beneath a luminous sky, with distant architecture partially visible through the trees. The composition is animated by the movement of horses and riders, while the richly ornamented carriage forms the visual centerpiece. Alexander Ritter von Bensa was an Austrian painter known for military, historical, and courtly subjects. His works frequently depict aristocratic ceremonies, cavalry scenes, and imperial pageantry, rendered with careful attention to costume, equestrian detail, and atmosphere.
