AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ORDER OF SAINT ANNE, 2ND CLASS WITH SWORDS, BY EDUARD, ST. PETERSBURG, LATE 19TH – EARLY 20TH CENTURY - An Imperial Russian Order of Saint Anne (Military Division), 2nd Class with swords, awarded for military merit. The badge formed as a red enameled cross with flared arms, set between double-headed Imperial eagles and crossed swords. The central medallion bearing the red enameled cipher of Saint Anne on a white enamel ground, within a laurel wreath border. The reverse with a matching central cipher. The upper arm stamped with the maker’s mark beneath the Imperial warrant for Eduard, St. Petersburg, one of the official suppliers of Imperial Russian orders in the late 19th and early 20th century. The suspension ring is also marked. Dimensions: 2 9/16 x 1 7/8 in., (6.5 x 4.8 cm.) Conditions: Very good, the enamel is intact. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
