A WW2 GERMAN SCHÜTZENREGIMENT 111 GHOST BRIGADE BADGE, C. 1940 - A WW2 German cap badge for Schützenregiment 111, later the 11th Panzer Division, often known as the 'Ghost Brigade' for their almost supernatural foray deep into French territory during the blitzkrieg. The badge shows the iconic symbol of a ghost on a speeding half-track, surrounded by the text 'Gespensterbrigade 'Angern' S.R. 111'. The backing is inscribed with the text 'Deschler/Munchen'.
