A LUFTWAFFE SOLDBUCH AND PERSONALAUSWEIS TO JOHANN WIESNIEWSKI, COMBAT AIRCREW NCO, 1939–1942 - Original Luftwaffe Soldbuch (pay and service book) issued to Johann Wiesniewski, born 26 December 1913 in Gnesen (now Gniezno, Poland). The blue-grey card-covered booklet bears the Luftwaffe eagle on the front cover and contains the soldier's photograph, personal details, service entries, official unit stamps, pay records, and wartime administrative annotations. The document was issued through the Luftkriegsschule Dresden Fahnenjunker-Kompanie on 2 September 1939. The recipient entered service as a Flugzeugführer-Unteroffizier (aircraft pilot NCO), later advancing through the ranks to Oberfeldwebel and ultimately Oberleutnant according to rank entries dated through 1942. Service records show training with Flugzeugführerschule (C) 7, Große Kampffliegerschule 3, and subsequent assignments to operational Luftwaffe units. Numerous official stamps and endorsements document postings and administrative transfers, including references to Kampfgeschwader training establishments and later service with Luftwaffe administrative and field units. The book contains the owner's photograph in Luftwaffe uniform, identification number, physical description, family information, and extensive wartime entries. Dimensions: 5 3/4 x 4 1/8 in., (14.5 x 10.5 cm.) Conditions: Well-used condition with evident wear to the covers and pages, edge losses, and creasing. The photograph remains firmly attached.
