Bidspirit auction | A GERMAN WEHRPASS GROUPING WITH

A GERMAN WEHRPASS GROUPING WITH WOUND BADGE AND CRIMEA CAMPAIGN SHIELD - A wartime German Wehrmacht grouping comprising a Wehrpass (military service record book) issued to Friedrich Reischwein (born 21 June 1922), together with a Black Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz) and a Crimea Campaign Shield (Krimschild), 1941–1942 mounted on its original field-gray cloth backing. The Wehrpass bears period entries, official stamps, and the soldier's photograph, documenting his military service during the Second World War. The Crimea Shield commemorates participation in the Crimean campaign of 1941–1942, while the Black Wound Badge denotes one or two combat wounds or injuries sustained in service. The Wehrpass retains its original paper covers and contains personal details, military registration information, and service-related entries. The grouping represents a tangible record of an individual German soldier's wartime experience and is enhanced by the presence of two associated campaign and service awards. Dimensions: Book: 5 3/4 x 4 1/4 in., (14.6 x 10.8 cm.) Conditions: Wehrpass is worn from use, with losses to the paper covers, old tape repairs, creasing, and age toning throughout. Interior pages remain generally legible with photographs and official stamps present. Black Wound Badge shows wear to the finish and age-related oxidation. Crimea Shield exhibits surface wear and patina, retaining its original cloth backing with fraying and losses to the fabric. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
