A GERMAN WWII CRIMEA CAMPAIGN SHIELD, 1941-1942 - A German WWII Crimea Campaign Shield, 1941-1942, mounted on blue-gray wool backing with paper-covered reverse. The stamped bronze-toned metal shield is surmounted by the German eagle and swastika above a raised map of the Crimean peninsula, inscribed ”KRIM.” The lower field is dated ”1941 1942,” commemorating German participation in the Crimean campaign.
