AN NSRL / GERMAN OLYMPIC GAMES COMMEMORATIVE SLEEVE PATCH, 1936 PERIOD - Oval grey wool sleeve patch embroidered in green thread with the emblem of the Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen (NSRL), consisting of a national eagle above a wreath enclosing a swastika. Below appears the embroidered emblem of the Olympic Games, represented by the five interlocking rings in their respective colors. The reverse retains its original canvas backing and field-grey wool border. The patch was intended for wear by members of the NSRL or affiliated athletic organizations during the period surrounding the 1936 Summer Olympics. Dimensions: 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 in., (10.8 x 9 cm.)
