A WW1 AUSTRIAN 'FUR OSTERREICH 1914-1918' MEDAL, C. 1933 - An Austrian 'Kriegserinnerungsmedaille' (War Commemorative Medal) designed by Vienna-born sculptor Edwin Grienauer (1893-1964) and instituted in 1933. The medal was awarded to service personnel who participated in World War 1. The obverse shows the Austrian Eagle holding the national coat of arms, with the reverse being inscribed with the dated 1914-1918 surrounded by a wreath. Austria, c. 1933.
