AN AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN IMPERIAL FRANZ JOSEPH I JUBILEE MEDAL, 1898 - A medal commissioned by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary, commemorating the 50th year of his reign. The obverse shows his face in profile, along with the text 'Franc Ios I D G Imp Austr Rex Boh Etc Ac Ap Rex Hung'. The verso reads 'Signum Memoriae' and bears the roman numerals 'MDCCCXLVIII - MDCCCXCVIII' (1848-1898). Austria, 1898. Dimensions: D: 1 3/8 in., (3.5 cm.)
