AN AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN SILVER MEDAL FOR BRAVERY 2ND CLASS, C. 1866 - 1917 - An Austro-Hungarian Imperial 'tapferkeitsmedaille' (medal for bravery) in silver, 2nd class, of the style used between 1866 and 1917. The obverse shows Emperor Franz Joseph I surrounded by text which reads 'Franz Joseph I. V. G. G. Kaiser V. Oesterreich', the reverse shows text which reads 'der tapferkeit' surrounded by a wreath and banners. Austria, c. 1900. Dimensions: D: 1 3/16 in., (3 cm.)
