A HUNGARIAN VITÉZ COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL, REGENT MIKLÓS HORTHY PERIOD - Circular bronze medal suspended from its original tri-fold ribbon in the Hungarian national colors of green, white, and red. The obverse bears a right-facing portrait of Regent Miklós Horthy with the inscription ”Vitéz Nagybányai Horthy Miklós Magyarország Kormányzója” (Vitéz Miklós Horthy of Nagybánya, Regent of Hungary). The reverse displays the Hungarian crowned coat of arms above crossed swords and the inscription ”Vitézségért” (”For Bravery”). Issued during the Horthy era and associated with the Hungarian Order of Vitéz and patriotic military service. Dimensions: D: 1 7/16 in., (3.6 cm.) Conditions: VG.
