AN 1830 20 FRANCS CHARLES X COIN, KINGDOM OF FRANCE - A French 20 Franc coin from the Kingdom of France produced in 1830 during the reign of Charles X, displaying his face to one side and the French coat of arms to the other. The edge of the coin is stamped with the phrase 'Domine Salvum fac Regem' meaning 'Lord, Save the King', the title of the royal anthem of the Ancien Regime. Charles X was a controversial king of France, and one the last of the Bourbon Dynasty to rule the Kingdom. After just 5 years on the throne he was forced to abdicate as a result of the revolution of 1830. Weight: 6.4 gr. Dimensions: D: 20.6 mm. Conditions: Very fine.
