Israeli Army paraphilatelic 1963 cost savings campaign raffle Album for Soldiers - Israeli Army paraphilatelic cost-savings drive: 1963 issued ”Album for the Soldier who Saves” - a campaign to raise awareness of the need to avoid wastage of and damage to army property; the album is an illustrated fold out folio encouraging soldiers to affix 4 different stamp labels which would appear each month, and once the album was complete, to submit it to the army's headquarters along with a suggestion on how to best avoid wastage. The submitted albums would be entered into a raffle which would be held in Feb. 1964, where 125 prizes would be awarded including 1 record player, 2 radios, 3 radio transistors, 3 electric razors, 6 long play records, and 110 'valuable' books. Here this album was completely filled in with the labels (but the suggestion field left blank) and submitted by a soldier in army unit 1025, postmarked on 7 Jan 1964 in HAIFA.
