Photo postcard of Mandatory Palestine Tel Aviv Skura municipality building 1940s - Tel Aviv architecture: photographic picture postcard of the second Tel Aviv municipality building, the Isidor Skura building in Bialik Square; with English & Hebrew captions, unattributed production but marked ”made in Czechoslovakia”. The Skura building housed the municipality from 1925 to 1965. Unused with light age toning on the front. The sign near the entrance gate reads ”Forbidden to park cars next to the fence”.The presence - and the crumbling state of - the exterior fence suggests the photo dates from the 1940's. The building is a Tel Aviv landmark and was designed by the architect Moshe Cherner.
