Baroque oval platter, Nymphenburg, - Baroque oval platter, Nymphenburg, c. 1745, probably from the court service, lower bowl of an oval tureen, probably painted by Joseph Zächenberger, with a lavish bouquet of flowers, including two large pink roses and a red-striped yellow tulip, surrounded by small flowering branches, a large butterfly, a moth and a dragonfly, the lobed rim painted with further flowers, below an ornate scroll border and outlined in blue, impressed shield mark, incised numeral 4, handles missing, missing part with old restoration, gold rubbed, l. 37 cm, The court service was made for Maximillian III Joseph of Bavaria, Elector of the Holy Roman Empire and Duke of Bavaria from 1745 to 1777.
