Winged lion with a conical cup on its back, decorated over the entire surface with scales, grooves, and geometric elements. Heavy construction. Green-brown patina. Lion rhyton cups are typical of the ancient Persian Achaemenid Empire, 5th century BC, in present-day Iran. Rubbed and minimally chipped, H. 14 cm
