Satsuma bowl, Japan, circa 1900 (Meiji - Satsuma bowl, Japan, circa 1900 (Meiji). Round, bulbous body with lobed walls. Above the mirror and flag, a multi-figure scene with architecture, pine trees, and Mount Fuji in the background. Outer wall in several registers with borders and floral cartouches with white peonies. Indistinct mark (rubbed) under the base, decoration slightly rubbed in places, H. 5.5/D. 15 cm
