Seed spreader, India, 19th century or - Seed spreader, India, 19th century or older, carved hardwood. Metal fittings in iron and brass. Round, funnel-shaped opening at the top with grooved decoration, base carved with sun symbol, circular eyes, etc., and cross-shaped brass fitting or iron band. Underside with three openings through which the seeds filled in at the top are scattered. Can be used upside down as a candle holder. Old, tarnished and rubbed, approx. 18 x 18 x 14 cm
