Pair of large Imari lidded vases, J - Pair of large Imari lidded vases, Japan, 19th century (Edo/Meiji), decoration on and under the glaze in cobalt blue, iron red, and gold. The body divided into 4 large panels with idealized natural scenes. Lids correspondingly decorated, figurative knob in the form of a Fo lion. One vase broken at the neck and with a hairline crack (stable). One of the Fo lions is missing its head; the other is chipped, H. 65 cm
