Historical Fire Helmet Saxony – Leather & Brass – circa 1900 - Historical leather helmet (Pickelhaube type) Region: Saxony / Kingdom of Saxony Period: circa 1900 (German Empire) Details: Selling an original Saxon fire helmet in authentic preserved condition. A classic collector's item of Saxon fire brigade history. Body: Consists of black, gloss-lacquered leather (leather shell), dimensionally stable and well preserved. Front emblem: Large, distinctive Brass emblem in shield shape with an applied cross symbol (typical Saxon design). Features: High Brass comb (crest) on the shell. Visor rail and neck guard trim made of Brass. Original leather chin strap present. Condition: Nice found condition with age-related patina. Not polished or tinkered with, which is particularly valuable for collectors. An ideal exhibit for local historians, militaria collectors, or for decoration in a fire station.
