German Heavy Athlete Sports Badge in the so-called 2nd form - German Heavy Athlete Sports Badge in the so-called 2nd form (with swastika). The badge was introduced in 1934 after the Gleichschaltung (coordination) of sports associations in National Socialism. It was awarded by the expert committee for heavy athletics in the Reich League for Physical Exercise for special achievements in sports such as wrestling, weightlifting, tug-of-war, or boxing. An oval oak leaf wreath, in the center of which an eagle sits on a square field with a swastika. To the left and right are weights (dumbbell plates). At the bottom of the wreath is a small shield depicting two wrestlers. Grades: The badge was awarded in bronze, silver, and gold grades.
