Estate of Major Border Troops – Medal ”Exemplary Border Service” 1955 - Collection from the estate of a later Major of the Border Troops. The absolute highlight of this set is the Medal for ”Exemplary Border Service” from 1955. Particularly noteworthy is the accompanying, numerically matching certificate of honor, originally signed by the then head of the German Border Police, Hermann Gartmann – a rare collector's item from the early phase of border security. Additionally, the offer includes the Medal for Faithful Service in the National People's Army in Gold, which is made of genuine 900 silver (corresponding hallmark present). The set is supplemented by further original documents, receipts, and historical photographs that authentically document the officer's career. All pieces are in very good, collectible condition.
