Theodore Ullmann Austrian Bronze Aquarium / Terrarium, Early 20th Century - Description: An Austrian bronze aquarium or terrarium with six glass panes and a verte de mer or green marble base, on a patinated cast iron stand. Two nudes stand on a rock with one dipping her toes into the water, opposed by a swan with wings outstretched. Markings & Inscriptions: Signed and bearing the Arthur Rubinstein foundry mark, also marked ”Made in Austria” Date: Early 20th century Maker: Theodor Ullmann (Austrian, 20th C.) Dimensions: 44.5” x 32” x 19.5”. Provenance: From a Kennett Square, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Some patination to the bronze and surface wear to the marble. Generally good to very good condition.
