Group of Six Russian Lacquer Painted Boxes - Description: A group of six hinged Russian lacquer painted boxes. All with gilt accents and red interiors. Each signed in Russian under the images. The first box, in the Kholui Village style depicting a scene from the Russian fairy tale of Sadko. The second, featuring a Russian Troika. The third depicting a figural grouping. The fourth depicting two swans in flight over a village. The fifth depicting a maiden in the snow. The sixth depicting a maiden with a deer, bird, and a rabbit. To also include a Russian painted wood Santa Claus. Markings & Inscriptions: Two with stickers to the undersides Date: Late 20th century Maker: Russian Dimensions: Largest: 1.75” x 4” x 6.5”.
