American Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Ship Dial, Early 19th Century - Description: A Federal period tall case clock, having a bonnet top with central brass eagle finial, inlaid pilasters, and bronze mounted reeded column supports flanking an inlaid glass paned door opening to a ship-decorated dial, the waist with inlaid door flanked by fluted quarter columns, and the base with fan inlay, raised on squared feet. Markings & Inscriptions: Unmarked Date: Early 19th century Maker: American Dimensions: 85” x 17” x 10”. Provenance: From a Kennett Square, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Label indicating that the clock was ”overhauled” in 2009. Some restoration is evident. The clock has not been tested for functionality. Face appears to be in original condition.
