Two Victorian Upholstered Armchairs - Description: Lot of two padded damask-upholstered Victorian armchairs, both in French style. Includes a Louis XV style curvilinear armchair with a serpentine seat-front, knuckle and scrollwork arms, cabriole legs, and ornate gadrooning and stud-work with white damask upholstery. Also includes a walnut and striped damask-upholstered easy chair with a serpentine seat-front, knuckled arms, whorl feet, and padded arm rests. Markings & Inscriptions: Unmarked Date: Late 19th century Maker: American or Continental Dimensions: 42” x 26” 23” and 37” x 26” x 24”. Provenance: From a Raleigh, North Carolina collection. Condition: Good condition. Some minor staining to upholstery and wear to wood varnish, commensurate with age and use.
