Strap of Antique 19th Century Graduated Sleigh Bells - Description: Leather strap of twelve graduated petal bells, all but one stamped with number or maker. Most bells are marked 'No' and numbered '8' through '4.' The eighth bell down (from largest) was made by Hubbard or Hiriam Barton, marked 'HB, ' placing the area of manufacture in Connecticut. Markings & Inscriptions: 'HB, ' and numbered Date: Early to mid 19th century Maker: Barton family Dimensions: 50” x 1.5” x 2”. Provenance: From a Phoenixville, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Good condition. Patina to brass commensurate with age; four bells have cracks along surface or base.
