20th Century German WWII Woven Artillery Wicker Basket - Description: A vintage woven artillery basket, used to transport shells during the early 20th century. Features two canvas straps on the sides for carrying. Stamped 'Swiss Made' on bottom, indicating it was made by the Swiss but frequently used by German forces during WWII. Markings & Inscriptions: 'Nr 0830' painted on front, 'Swiss Made' on bottom. Date: Early 20th Century Maker: Swiss Dimensions: 23” x 21.5” x 6”. Provenance: From a Phoenixville, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Good condition. One of the canvas straps has broken off. Some minor breakage to top of basket.
