Five Early Large Splint Baskets - Description: Group of five large 19th century splint baskets, likely made of oak wood. Includes two large rectangular baskets, one with a bentwood handle, two ovular baskets with handles, and an ovular basket with rim handles. Three baskets are reinforced with nails. Markings & Inscriptions: Unmarked. Date: 19th Century Maker: American Dimensions: Smallest measures: 12.75” x 14.75 x 13.5”. Largest measures: 25.75” x 16.5” x 16”. Provenance: From a Phoenixville, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Fair condition. Some loss to splints, one handle has broken off a round basket. One rectangular basket is warped.
