Antique Rosewood Campaign Lap Desk on Stand - Description: An antique 19th century rosewood campaign lap desk with a green felt fold out top, inscribed 'Galindo' on top, featuring a stand with turned legs terminating in padfeet, a brass escutcheon and tasseled key, and four inner compartments. An inscription inside the desk reads 'Given by Uncle George Galindo/to Gertie Kisterbock Crain/April 1878-Phila.' Markings & Inscriptions: Marked Date: Mid to late 19th century Maker: English Dimensions: 24” x 16” x 9.5”. Provenance: From a Hatfield, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Good condition. The escutcheon is loose, some staining on inner wooden compartments, otherwise good condition.
