Persian Sterling Silver Flatware - Description: A group of Tiffany & Co. sterling silver items comprised of nineteen flatware pieces, including eight three-pronged pie forks, one butter knife, and ten teaspoons. This service is in the intricate art nouveau ”Persian” design, patented in 1872 and designed by Edward Moore. The design features intricate floral and scrollwork designs down the handle and neck with additional scrollwork details on the back and also feature an engraved monogram on the handle and a gold vermeil bowl/body. Markings & Inscriptions: Marked 'Tiffany & Co. Sterling/Pa. 1872' along back Date: Circa 1872 Maker: Tiffany & Co. Dimensions: 14.90 ozt. Fork measures 6.375”, spoon measures 4.75”, knife measures 7.25”. Provenance: From a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Good condition. Very little tarnishing or scratching present.
