Dresden Muller Volkstedt German Porcelain Lace Figural Group - Description: A Dresden porcelain figural group in the form of aristocrats socializing around a table. Each piece decorated with polychrome enamels and the ladies and the gentleman with hand-applied lace details. The group includes a lady and gentleman each holding a drink, a lady seated in a chair lifting her glass, a similarly styled porcelain tricorn hat on a stool, a festively set table with wine and fruit centerpiece, and a gilt decorated porcelain plateau marked for Muller Volkstedt. Markings & Inscriptions: Most pieces unmarked Date: 19th/20th century Maker: German Dimensions: Plateau: 4” x 20.5” x 12”, lady and gentleman: 9” x 9.5” x 8”. Provenance: From a Yardley, Pennsylvania collection. Condition: Fair to good condition. Scattered losses to the lace on the ladies' dresses. Discoloration to the surface of the table. The porcelain plateau with a long crack from the front to the center and other smaller cracks to the edges. The tricorn hat with a chip.
