A Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Silver Shape Sauce Boat Qianlong Period A Chinese Export porcelain sauce boat of European silver-shape form dating to the mid-18th century. The vessel features a footed base and a characteristic scalloped, undulating rim with pointed peaks. The exterior is hand-painted in a famille rose palette with floral sprays depicting peonies and chrysanthemums. The interior well is decorated with a floral bouquet tied with a ribbon, while the inner rim features a scrolling foliate border in iron-red and gilding. The item is fitted with a replacement woven wicker handle attached through two circular perforations at the rear of the body. The unglazed foot rim shows evidence of kiln grit. There are no factory marks or inscriptions present on the base.
