A Collection of Five English Copper Lustreware Earthenware Jugs A collection of five copper lustreware earthenware jugs of various sizes and decorative styles, originating from Staffordshire, England. The group includes one piece bearing a definitive maker's mark for Wade Ceramics. Two large jugs feature relief-moulded bodies depicting traditional hunting scenes with figures on horseback and hounds, completed with rustic branch-form handles. A medium globular jug is decorated with a wide horizontal cobalt blue band around the shoulder. A small jug displays relief-moulded dancing figures with the raised details highlighted in cobalt blue enamel. The smallest jug in the collection features a cobalt blue band around the body containing a hand-painted scene of a woman in a red dress with a cow in a rural landscape. One of the large relief-moulded jugs bears a black underglaze backstamp on the base with the text WADE ENGLAND.
