The lot comprises items manufactured from bone china, glazed earthenware, and glass, decorated with polychrome transfer-printed portraits, heraldic motifs, and inscriptions. Commemorative events represented include the 1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, featuring a small earthenware mug with dual portraits. The 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II is represented by two side plates, two teacups with matching saucers, a small mug, and a small bowl. The 1969 Investiture of the Prince of Wales at Caernarvon Castle is marked by a large bone china tankard and a teacup and saucer featuring the Welsh Red Dragon. The 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II includes three glass tankards with the Royal Coat of Arms and a commemorative teacup and saucer. A tall mug commemorates the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Visible manufacturer marks include Staffs Teaset Co.
