A Pair of Vintage Japanese Ikenobo School Ikebana Floral Shears in Original Box A pair of vintage Japanese floral shears designed for the Ikenobo school of flower arrangement (Ikebana). These Koryu style shears are constructed from carbon steel with a black-finished handle section and feature the characteristic large, looped handles. The inner handle is stamped with the incised characters 謹製 (Kinsei), meaning manufactured with care. The blades are designed with a notched heel at the base for cutting thicker, woody stems. The tool is presented in its original red cardboard box, which bears the mark HIGH CLASS alongside a logo of the letter S within a hexagon. Other markings on the packaging include MADE IN JAPAN, FLOWER ARRANGEMENT, and the school designation 池坊 (Ikenobo). The set includes a black leather blade sheath with a red-capped snap fastener and a small brass bell attached to the handle by a green cord. Length: 165mm.
