Contemporary Figural Relief Plaque in the Style of Cold-Cast Bronze This wall-mounted relief plaque depicts an East Asian narrative scene featuring two young figures. One figure is shown whispering into the ear of the other, who listens with eyes closed and hair styled in pigtails. Both figures are rendered in traditional attire, set against a background depicting vertical bamboo stalks. The piece is finished with a heavy verdigris and blue-toned patina over a dark brown ground, intended to imitate the appearance of aged bronze. Visual evidence from the reverse suggests the item is constructed from cold-cast resin or a similar composite material, showing a textured, fibrous surface within the hollow casting.
