A Collection of Vintage Motoring and Transport Ephemera including Brooke Bond Picture Card Album and Promotional Brochures A varied collection of vintage transport-themed ephemera focusing on automotive history and mid-20th-century vehicle ranges. The lot includes a Brooke Bond Tea Ltd. picture card album titled History of the Motor Car, illustrated by Kenneth Rush and described by Peter Hull. The album cover features a Jensen Interceptor, a Bugatti, and a veteran car, with a printed price of Sixpence. It contains a series of adhesive cards applied to designated sections. The cover bears a handwritten inscription in blue ink: Gareth David, 37 Bracken Rd, Margam, Port Talbot, Glam. Also included is a Citroën range sales brochure from the early 1980s, featuring models such as the BX, 2CV6, Visa 11E, and GSA Special, complete with technical specifications and fuel consumption figures. Promotional literature from Franklin Mint Precision Models is present, consisting of a brochure for the Mercedes 500K Special Roadster and a leaflet showing technical drawings of a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. A set of six large-format Collectors Reproductions postcards published by Prescott-Pickup and Co. Ltd., Bridgnorth, Salop (Ref. P/A10) features detailed illustrations of classic vehicles. These include a 1910 Model T Ford, 1925 3 Litre Bentley, 1934 Bugatti Type 59, 1932 Alfa Romeo 1750cc, 1911 Stanley Steam Car, and 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. Note that the Bentley (Registration YL8667) depicted is a 2-axle rigid body petrol vehicle first registered in October 1925. The collection is completed by an assortment of trade cards depicting various subjects including aircraft such as the Hawker Siddeley Harrier, De Havilland Mosquito, and Sopwith Pup, alongside several steam locomotives and a Standard Vanguard car. A retail receipt from David Evans department store in Swansea, dated 28 July 1973, provides regional provenance.
