A Pair of Royal Doulton Staffordshire Style Spaniel Figurines A matched pair of Royal Doulton ceramic spaniel figurines, modelled in the seated Staffordshire style. The pair consists of one left-facing and one right-facing dog, both finished in a high-gloss white glaze. The figures feature hand-painted black muzzles and whiskers, with orange-rimmed eyes. Gold-lustre highlights are applied to the collars, lockets, and paws, and in a stylised fleur-de-lis pattern across the coats. Each base bears the printed Royal Doulton factory mark in black, featuring a lion standing on a crown above the Royal Doulton circular device and the words Made in England. The model number 1378-5 is impressed into the clay on both undersides, alongside an L or R to denote the orientation. Large circular vent holes are present in the base of each figurine.
