A RARE MID 18TH CENTURY CREAM AND SCARLET LACQUER CHINOISERIE DECORATED EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the 12" arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring enclosing a signed seconds dial and date aperture, fronting an eight-day weight-driven five-pillar movement with anchor escapement and bell strike. The case with pagoda top arched trunk door and plinth base decorated with a garden and domestic scene above a foliated base with birds and butterflies. (237cm high plus centre finial )
