A FINE LIMITED EDITION GIANT SOLID SILVER AND LAPIS LAZULI GRAND SONNERIE CARRIAGE CLOCK MADE FOR ASPREY the very heavy engraved case with bevelled lapis panels enclosing a mother-of-pearl dial with gilt engraved spandrels formed as eagles surrounding applied gilt Roman numerals and moonphase aperture above three subsidiary dials for day, date, and alarm, the bottom of the dial signed ”De Vallee, No. 1”, fronting a jewelled fully skeletonised and fully engraved eight-day spring driven movement with lever escapement and strike selection lever chiming and repeating the quarters and hours on two gongs.
