A LATE 19TH CENTURY GERMAN CARVED OAK QUARTER CHIMING BRACKET CLOCK, the inverted bell top pediment with leafwork carving and green man masks above a glazed door surrounded by caryatid carvings and lions masks, the 7” arched brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre, the arch with Chime/Silent and regulation dials fronting an eight day spring driven movement with rise and fall anchor escapement chiming the quarters on four gongs and hour strike on a larger gong, backplate inscribed W&H for Winterhalder & Hofmeier.
