A GEORGE III OAK EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the 14” engraved brass dial with Roman chapter ring and Arabic minutes enclosing a floral signed centre with subsidiary date and seconds dials fronting an eight day weight driven movement with anchor escapement and bell strike regulated by a painted bob pendulum. The plain case with panelled base, long shaped-top trunk door, reeded quarter columns and swan neck pediment to the hood centred by a turned finial. (215cm high)
