A GEORGE III EBONISED AND ORMOLU MOUNTED MUSICAL VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the case with inverted bell top pediment surmounted by a central finial and pierced scroll cresting with flanking urn finials, caryatid-mount canted corners and pierced sound frets, enclosing a 7 inch shaped brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a scroll engraved centre with calendar aperture, the arch with subsidiary dials for Chime/Not Chime and tune selection, fronting a substantial triple fusee movement with scroll engraved backplate and verge escapement striking the hours on a bell and playing one of four tunes on ten bells.
