A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ENGRAVED GILT METAL REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK having an oval case with scrolling swing handle and bevelled glass panels, enclosing an engine-turned mask and white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm dial, fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement with alarm and original compensated lever escapement, striking and repeating on a bell; presented in a later carry case.
